Terms of Service and Policies

By accessing this website, requesting an estimate, authorizing work, or engaging GenTek Performance LLC (“GenTek,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the customer (“Customer” or “you”) agrees to the following Terms & Conditions in full.​

Estimate & Scope of Work:  The details and estimate provided are based on labor guide estimates and/or initial inspection. Estimates are provided for informational purposes only and are not guarantees, caps, or maximums. Automotive repair, restoration, and custom work—especially on older or modified vehicles—often reveal hidden damage, corrosion, improper prior repairs, missing components, or unforeseen conditions.  Additional labor, parts, subcontracted services, or materials may be required. Authorization for such work is implied by continuation of the project. The final invoice shall reflect actual labor time and materials required to complete the work. Custom work and classic vehicles cannot be accurately quoted. Any estimates provided are loose projections only. Unforeseen issues are common and additional labor and parts should be expected.No completion date or timeline is guaranteed. 

Billing & Labor: Labor Rates Per Hour: Mechanical Work: $150.00 / Diagnostic Work: $195.00 / Fabrication & Welding: $175.00 / Bodywork & Sandblasting: $65.00. All work is billed on a time-and-materials basis. Progressive Billing for Large Jobs:  Invoices are issued weekly on Fridays and are due immediately upon receipt. Prepayment may be required for major components. Parts and materials purchased by the Shop are due for reimbursement at the end of each billing cycle.

Aftermarket / Performance Parts & Race Only Parts: Installation of aftermarket, performance, or race-only parts is at the customer’s sole risk and  may void factory warranties. Such parts may not be legal for street use. Customer affirms compliance with all applicable laws and assumes all risks associated with their use. Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless GenTek Performance LLC from any claims, penalties, fines, damages, injuries, or losses arising from the use or misuse of such parts. 

Audio/Video and Call Recording: For safety and security, audio and video recording devices are in use on the premises. All phone calls both incoming and outgoing may be recorded. By authorizing work, the customer expressly consents to such recording and waives any related claims to the fullest extent permitted by Pennsylvania law. 

Cancellation & Parts Return: Cancellation requests must be made in writing. All labor and parts incurred prior to cancellation are due immediately. Vehicles must be picked up within 72 business hours of cancellation.  New, unused parts may be returned within 15 days with a receipt and are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Custom or special-order parts are non-returnable. 

Customer Supplied Parts & Used Parts: Customer-supplied or used parts are installed at the customer’s sole risk. No warranty is provided for customer-supplied parts or labor associated with them. The Shop is not responsible for compatibility, fitment, defects, or failures. All labor performed is non-refundable once completed. Additional labor required due to incorrect, missing, or failed parts is billable. 

Return Of Used Parts Policy: Customers must request the return of used/stock parts that are removed from their vehicle at the time the vehicle is drop off for service work.  It is the customer's responsibility to make sure they have received back all the parts requested before they leave the property. Once the vehicle is picked up, used parts not taken back by the customer become property of GenTek Performance to dispose of as they see fit.  Plastic & Aged Components:  Plastic, rubber, and aged components may become brittle over time. GenTek Performance LLC is not responsible for breakage due to deterioration during normal service. 

Electonic Signatures & Payments: Electronic signatures, approvals, and payments are legally binding. Online or card-not-present payments do not require a physical signature. The absence of a signed receipt does not constitute grounds for disputing or reversing charges. 

Mechanic's Lien & Storage: An express mechanic’s lien is acknowledged pursuant to 49 P.S. § 191 et seq. GenTek Performance LLC may retain, store, or pursue sale of the vehicle in accordance with Pennsylvania law to satisfy unpaid balances. 

Warranty: A limited 6-month / 3,000-mile workmanship warranty applies only to repairs performed by GenTek Performance LLC. Warranty is void if the vehicle is serviced elsewhere, modified, raced, or fitted with customer-supplied parts. No warranty applies to tuning, racing components, or normal wear items. To Maintain Warranty Coverage: All diagnostics, inspections, and follow-up repairs must be performed by GenTek Performance. Customer must notify us of any concern as soon as it occurs and return the vehicle for inspection. Warranty Will Be VOID If: The vehicle is taken to any other shop for diagnosis, teardown, or repair before we inspect it. Customer-supplied parts were used. The vehicle has been modified, disassembled, or altered after our repair. Failure is due to misuse, lack of maintenance, overheating, or unrelated components. Exclusions: No warranty on racing/performance parts, tuning, customer-supplied parts, normal wear items, fluids, or any incidental costs (towing, rental, etc.). GenTek Performance reserves the right to determine cause of failure and warranty eligibility.
 

 GenTek Performance LLC shall not be responsible for loss or damage to the Vehicle or any personal property left in the Vehicle due to fire, theft, vandalism, accident, weather, or any other cause beyond the Shop’s reasonable control. All vehicles must be paid for in full and picked up within seventy-two (72) hours of completion of work, including any applicable storage fees. Vehicles may only be picked up after business hours with prior written consent from GenTek Performance LLC and only after the invoice is signed and paid in full in advance. Any vehicle left more than seventy-two (72) hours after completion of repairs will incur a storage fee of $55.00 per day, including weekends, until the Vehicle is picked up and all balances are paid in full.
